EVENTS HOST/HOSTESS

JOB SUMMARY:
This is a part-time, non-benefited position which will help organize and manage events at the Community Recreation Center.
This position will cater to many different events, including weddings, corporate functions, and community events held at the facility. The primary responsibility is to be the front line working directly with the client the day of their event to ensure that everything runs smoothly and that the client and guests are happy. The Host/Hostess position supervises the event and building, as well as assisting with customer needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
- Supervise facility usage, operation, equipment maintenance, etc., under the direction of the Events Manager;
- Acts as a liaison for the client or building user to insure successful execution of events;
- Prepare and review event agendas and confirm that all services and necessary preparations are in order;
- Proactively execute flawless customer satisfaction;
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with service contractors and other suppliers of event services;
- Assist with cleaning responsibilities as well as facility cleaning, as needed;
- Coordinate client service needs with catering and audio-visual concessionaires and other requested services;
- Supervise, direct and coordinate the activities of personnel, subcontractors, and vendors as required to successfully execute the assigned events at the facility;
- Ensure facilities will meet the needs of multiple projects;
- Coordinate set-up of tables and chairs for events;
- Additional weekend on-call assignments;
- Other duties as assigned.

SALARY: Starting salary $15.00/hour
SCHEDULE: 8-15 hours per week, varies depending on scheduled events (Mostly evenings, weekends)
