SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Ensures the protection of residents and property from fire, EMS emergencies, hazardous materials, rescue, and other public safety responsibilities of the Department. Duties include supervising all crew members and equipment assigned to a fire station, conducting pre-fire plans, fire safety education, EMS first responder care, and all other public safety functions provided by the Department. Additional duties may be assigned for the good order of the department.ELIGIBILITY:
Any member of the Cedar Park Fire Department who for at least two years immediately before the examination date has continuously held the position of Driver/Engineer, and before the exam date is certified as Fire Officer II and Incident Safety Officer by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.

I hereby declare that I am eligible to take the Cedar Park Fire Department examination for the position of Lieutenant.
I hereby notify the City of Cedar Park Human Resources Department that I intend to take the examination scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 1:30 pm. I understand that the examination is to be given at City Hall, Fire Training Room - Building 6, 450 Cypress Creek Road, Cedar Park, Texas. I also understand that admittance to the test area will begin at 1:30 pm and that no one will be admitted after 2:00 pm. I understand that I will need to bring a valid driver's license or Department issued Identification as proof of identity at the time of sign-in or I will not be admitted to take the examination.
I hereby acknowledge that this Notice of Intent to Test form must be received by the City of Cedar Park Human Resources Department beginning, Monday, February 17, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. and no later than Monday, February 24, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. and that failure to do so will result in denial of my admittance at the testing site.
