About the Position
Assists Utilities Environmental staff in various watershed program activities.
- The City of Cedar Rapids does not offer sponsorship for employment authorization.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Collects samples from a variety of point sources and delivers them to the laboratory for processing as per standard operating procedures;
- Develops promotional and educational content highlighting accomplishments and activities in the general watershed;
- Assists in collection and review water quality samples and data generated from agricultural edge of field (EOF) practices or watershed tributaries;
- Performs data entry related to respective daily work assignments;
- Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures and safety practices;
- Attends work regularly at the designated place and time;
- Performs related work as required.
- 1-2 years of technical training or study towards a degree in engineering, agricultural, chemistry, biology, physical sciences, or water environmental technology preferred or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training in agriculture, the watershed, water, or wastewater treatment industry, which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.

Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:00pm
Salary : $15 - $17
