Are you a skilled leader with parks maintenance experience? The City of Central Point is hiring a Parks Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of our city parks. In this role, you will provide leadership and first-line supervision of the Parks Division, ensuring our parks remain safe, beautiful, and welcoming for the community.

Full-Time | Parks Maintenance Supervisor | City of Central Point

Salary: $6,219 - $8,769 month ($74,628 - $105,228 annually DOE)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Response Time:

  • Must live within a 45-minute response time of 235 S. Haskell St. within 180 days of hire.
  • Reliable cell phone reception required for emergency callbacks.

Experience & Education:

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) with basic math, reading and writing skills at a 12th grade level.
  • Five (5) years of parks maintenance experience, including three (3) years in a supervisory role.
  • Associate's degree (or equivalent of 90 term/45 semester credits) with major coursework in business, management, natural resources, or similar. An equivalent combination of education and experience determined to ensure the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the work is acceptable.
  • Intermediate computer skills required.

Driver's License & Certifications:

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must obtain the following within designated timeframes from date of hire:
    • CPR/First Aid (6 months).
    • Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT) (10 months).
    • Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA) (10 months).
    • ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor training (TCS) (10 months).

Preferred/Special Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience in parks maintenance or public works (parks/street/water).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, natural resources or similar.
  • Any required certifications or licenses listed above are preferred at hire.

BENEFITS PACKAGE:

Medical/Dental/Vision: Regence $500 individual/$1,500 family deductible plan. Employee pays 10% of the premium based on tiered rates (between $37.62 - $254.22 per month).

Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) City paid Contribution: $300/month.

Retirement: Oregon PERS fully paid by the City.

Paid Time Off: 14 paid holidays, vacation starting at 80 hours/year, 56 hours of management leave, and 96 hours of sick leave.
