Responsibilities of Position
The HR/Risk Management Analyst is the data subject matter expert of the department. They gather, organize, and analyze data and information from a variety of sources, such as databases and spreadsheets. They interpret, translate, and present the data in narrative and visual formats that can be used for making recommendations, to improve business processes, and for organizational decision making. They also perform a variety of case management and other tasks that support risk management operations related to worker’s compensation, work accommodation, leaves of absence, return to work, and more. The HR/Risk Management Analyst supports employees and their managers by answering questions and providing guidance and training on risk management and HR topics.
Required Qualifications
• A bachelor’s degree with some coursework in public administration, mathematics, statistics, social work, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience and education that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Experience with human resources, risk management, or public financial data analysis.
• Ability to prepare analytical and statistical reports using visual data illustrations.
• Ability to interpret technical data for audiences at all levels.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Sound judgment and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
• Public sector work experience, particularly in local government in Illinois
• Professional-level experience in Human Resources or Risk Management.
• Experience with MUNIS Human Resources Information System software.
Drug screening and criminal background check will be required. The annual starting salary range is $77,187 - $87,872, DOQ, plus an excellent fringe benefits package. Applications must be submitted online no later than Sunday, April 20, 2025.
