The City of Chandler Neighborhood Resources Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Recreation Assistant (Housing) . This is a regular, part-time position with benefits and a schedule of Monday - Friday 3 : 15 p.m. - 7 : 15 p.m.

Who we are

The Neighborhood Resources Housing & Redevelopment Division is the City of Chandler Public Housing Authority which oversees and manages Public Housing units and the Housing Choice Voucher : Section 8 program. Our primary focus is to provide affordable rental housing for low-income households. The Housing Youth Program serves the children and youth living in Chandler's four Public Housing family sites.

Our new team member will have a passion for youth development and experience developing and implementing youth programing. We are seeking a creative and self-motivated individual, with at least 1 year of experience working with youth who leads by example to join our inclusive team.

Minimum qualifications

When assigned to Housing : Obtain a fingerprint clearance card within three (3) months of hire or promotion.

Desired qualifications

This is a regular part-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.

The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.
