The City of Chandler Public Works & Utilities Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Business Systems Support Principal Analyst. The position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with limited remote work available.

Who we are
Chandler was the first city in Arizona to receive accreditation of our water and wastewater operations by the American Public Works Association, the toughest accreditation to achieve in the industry. The Utilities Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City's water treatment plant, 32 water wells, and 19 booster station facilities and share another water plant with the Town of Gilbert. The Utility also operates wastewater and reclaimed water infrastructure, including industrial wastewater/ brine reduction and three wastewater facilities. We treat over 64 million gallons of fresh water and treat over 30 million gallons of wastewater per day to class A reclaimed water to meet irrigation and industrial demands. Our water is received from four primary water sources: Salt River, Verde River, Colorado River and ground water supplied by our extensive well field facilities. We also use advanced treatment processes to recycle over 7 million gallons of industrial wastewater and return it back for industrial reuse. Service is provided to the City of Chandler residential, commercial, and industrial users by a network of 1,224 miles of active water mains, 942 miles of active sewer mains, and 92 miles of reclaimed water mains.

Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone to provide high-level expertise in designing and implementing new applications or enhancements of departmental applications. Including developing, testing, implementing, and documenting integration between widely varying technologies and applications. This will include creating customized reports and publishing system date extracts. The Business Systems Support Principal Analyst has direct responsibility for managing and maintaining applications while ensuring the functionality requirements are met. Additionally, the position will have responsibilities for mentoring junior team members.

Minimum qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting Public or Business Administration or a related field; and
• 5 years of recent systems application or website analysis, implementation, and programming experience, including supporting multiple business practices; or
• any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired qualifications
•Previous experience in water or wastewater process control systems;
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SSRS, Crystal Reports, or other database query & reporting applications.
•Experience in developing, creating, and analyzing complex technical documentation and programming.
•2 years of leadership experience in a professional setting.
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
