The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining its team as a Library Assistant at the Downtown Chandler Library. The position is regular, full-time, with benefits.
Work Schedule: Varied Schedule, including at least 1 night per week and 2 weekends per month.
This opportunity is only open to 1) current regular City of Chandler employees, 2) those participating in a city-approved internship or apprenticeship program, and 3) temporary employees who are paid through the city payroll system.

We are looking for someone with excellent time management skills and the ability to be self-sufficient in completing assigned tasks. We are looking for someone with recent circulation experience in a public library setting.

Minimum Qualifications
• Some High School; and
• 1 year of customer service experience involving frequent public contact; and
• A valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired Qualifications
• Experience in a library setting with an automated library system.
This is a regular full-time position subject to a 6-month probationary period. Should another position become available, a register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months.
