The City of Chandler Cultural Development Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Marketing & Communications Associate. This is a full-time regular status position with benefits. The position is scheduled to work five work days, 40 hours, each week, with occasional evenings and weekends.

The City of Chandler Cultural Development Department showcases destination drivers, including Chandler Center for the Arts (CCA), Chandler Museum, Downtown, Public Art, Special Events, and Vision Gallery. The CCA is collaboratively shared by three distinct entities – the City of Chandler, the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD), and the Chandler Cultural Foundation. We are looking for someone who likes to work in a creative, strategic, goal-driven environment with experience in marketing and communications. This detail-oriented person will coordinate and implement an editorial schedule and advertising for an internal publication, track and place digital advertising for multiple events, write and edit copy for use in digital creative content and printed marketing materials, implement community relations strategies to engage patrons and the community-at-large, and assist in executing fundraising tactics through membership and sponsorship development.

Minimum qualifications
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.

Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field; and
- 2 years of experience in marketing, advertising and fund/audience development; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Understanding of basic marketing concepts, including audience segmentation, survey implementation and analysis, and demographic research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word with excellent writing and interview skills, AP writing experience a plus, as well as Excel with the ability to use formulas and extrapolate data
- Execute communications campaigns using a CRM system to create emails and newsletters to segmented lists, using platforms such as Constant Contact, Acoustic or MailChimp
- Experience with keeping track of a budget, account coding and paying invoices
- Experience soliciting donations, partnerships, sponsorships and advertising to meet goals within a strategic revenue framework
- Knowledge of implementation and analysis with Search Engine Optimization, Google Analytics, and Meta
- Experience with creating ad campaigns that include multi-faceted digital placements and tracking tools
- Basic graphic design experience and the ability to use Adobe Suite or Canva, basic HTML coding is a plus
- Experience in public relations, speaking to the public on behalf of an organization, either to the media or at an event.
