Position Overview
Under the administrative direction of the Authority, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall management and operations including the staff and financial and property assets in compliance with the Board’s actions and applicable federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities
- overseeing the redevelopment of vacant, abandoned and under-utilized properties through community partnerships and strategic planning;
- directing the Authority’s day-to-day activities and regular projects, including the acquisition, disposition, demolition, maintenance, and rehabilitation of its properties;
- overseeing the Authority staff and the staff’s various responsibilities to include managing human resources activities;
- assisting the Board in creating the vision, mission and strategic plan of the organization;
- providing staff support to the Board and serve as the Board’s liaison to the community and civic groups as well as government and elected officials;
- managing the Authority’s financial resources in conjunction with the Treasurer of the Board, and act as the official contact between the Authority and its financial vendors and public auditors.
