The Psychiatric Nurse operates as part of a comprehensive 23-hour Crisis Stabilization team that provides ongoing assessment, crisis intervention and clinical determination for level of care to individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. This dynamic team addresses urgent behavioral health needs including but not limited to significant emotional dysregulation, disordered thought processes, substance use intoxication resulting in behavioral crisis and environmentally de-stabilizing events that require multi-disciplinary crisis intervention.
The Psychiatric Nurse will be responsible for providing person-centered, trauma-informed care to these individuals with the goal of stabilization at the least restrictive level of care and an emphasis on post crisis growth. An ideal candidate will work will with multiple internal and community stakeholders including police, community partners and other internal medical staff to coordinate care and safety in the community. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with psychiatric conditions as well as knowledge of care coordination, medication administration, lab administration, supply inventory and crisis management skills.
