Employment Status: Non-Exempt, Chapter 7 Ordinance, Part-Time (19 Hours/Week)
Salary: $15.00/Hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Varies
Certifications/Licenses Required: High School Diploma/G.E.D.
SUMMARY
The City of Chicopee’s Human Resources Department is hiring a Door Clerk who would be responsible for compliance with safety and guest relations within city hall and providing general assistance to the general public and visitors to the city for the continued operation and customer service of the city.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Prepares registrations and maintains event tracking.
- Prepares statistical data as requested.
- Assessing all employees, guests, and visitors to ensure the safety of the public, building and staff.
- Maintains orderly queues for visitors and coordinates scheduled appointments.
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly.
- Escalate emergency risks to first responders, as needed.
- Responsible for other duties and tasks as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of one year of experience working with the public. - Required
- A minimum of two years’ experience working with data entry and computer software usage. - Required
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience with customer service. - Required
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- First Aid, AED, CPR Certification. - Preferred
- Knowledge of office procedures and experience dealing with the public. - Required
