The Co-op/Intern for the City of Cincinnati’s Office of Place-Based Initiatives will support community engagement, neighborhood assessment, and partnership development efforts. - Attend senior citizen meetings to provide information and resources related to city initiatives.
- Support the coordination of the Summer in Cincy events and other public programs.
- Assist in developing long-term strategic partnerships with community organizations and businesses.
- Contribute to the development of integrated and concentrated city service delivery plans.
- Participate in community meetings and serve as a liaison between residents and city departments.

Project Descriptions and Deliverables
A Summer Internship opportunity in the Office of Place Based Initiatives provides a unique opportunity for a student interested in community engagement and neighborhood development. The intern may contribute to various projects and deliverables; examples could include but are not limited to:
Neighborhood Survey & Engagement Initiative
- Conduct door-to-door surveys to assess resident concerns and neighborhood priorities.
- Analyze collected data to identify trends and community needs.
- Present findings to city officials to inform policy and program decisions.
Community Partnership Development
- Assist in fostering relationships between city agencies, businesses, and community organizations.
- Coordinate meetings with stakeholders to discuss collaborative opportunities.
- Develop a resource guide highlighting available city and nonprofit services.
Boots-on-the-Ground Outreach Program
- Participate in field visits to various neighborhoods, homeless encampments, and business districts.

In order to qualify for the Intern/Co-op/Extern Program, a student must:
- Be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or a non-citizen with proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Individuals under eighteen will require a work permit
- Be enrolled in an accredited institution
- Submit a City job application for employment
Salary : $27,768 - $32,323
