POOL SUPERVISOR
Responsible for supervision of day-to-day operations, pool programming, rentals, and special events at multiple pool facilities, including supervision of managers, staff scheduling (within budget constraints), adherence to minor labor laws, collection of necessary paperwork, ordering needed equipment and supplies, overseeing revenue collection, membership card distribution, pre and post season inventory and collection of equipment and supplies. Must communicate well, both written and orally. Responsible for overseeing performance evaluations of pool managers, lifeguards and pool staff. Responsible for collection of time sheets and assisting with the payroll process. Must maintain open lines of communication with Aquatic Director and Community Center Service Area Coordinators and Pool Managers. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Must have current or be able to pass American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED and First Aid certifications. Current Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator preferred. American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Training Instructor, and previous management experience preferred. Must have valid Ohio Driver License, CRC van driver training and be eligible to drive a city vehicle or provide own vehicle transportation. Must be able to work other than normal hours and be available to work as scheduled based upon the needs of the department. Attend and instruct Manager/Assistant Manager/Gate Monitor Training, preseason training, and on-site pool trainings. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must wear Department of Recreation staff wear and maintain a clean and positive demeanor and appearance.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to furnish own transportation.

Must attend Pool Manager/Head Guard training, gate monitor training, preseason training, and on-site pool training.
Must wear assigned Department of Recreation staff uniform.
Unexpired certifications must be maintained as part of employment.
This position may require working a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Must be available from May to August to fulfill duties.
Environmental Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is subjected to outdoor weather conditions with little to no temperature control, the sun, and may be exposed to extreme heat, cold, wind, and rain. Works on elevated, uneven, and/or slippery surfaces and is periodically exposed to hazardous conditions/situations and substances.
Physical Conditions:
Duties require maintaining physical conditions necessary for swimming for prolonged periods of time, lifting of up to 100lbs, and repairing minor fence cuts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time, and to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Must be able to differentiate between colors and shades of color.
