JOB SUMMARY :
Assists the Clarksville Downtown Market Manager in supervising weekly operations of the Market in order to achieve weekly / seasonal goals.
THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION WHICH WILL LAST FOR THE DOWNTOWN MARKET SEASON. THIS POSITION HELPS SET UP, RUN, AND TEAR DOWN THE MARKET EVERY SATURDAY FROM MAY THROUGH OCTOBER. WORKING WITH VENDORS, CASH HANDLING, AND POINT-OF-SALES DEVICE EXPERIENCE ARE PREFERRED. REQUIRES WORKING EARLY MORNINGS, HOLIDAYS, AND WEEKENDS. THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED.
Example of Duties
JOB DUTIES :
- Assists with handling SNAP distribution and receipts and creates SNAP report at the end of the day.
- Assists with Market merchandise sales and handles money / inventory.
- Answers questions from the public, vendors, and community partners.
- Assists with weekly set-up / break-down, data collection, market sales, surveys, voting, and other special events on Market days.
- Serves as the second point of contact to answer questions from vendors and the public about the Clarksville Downtown Market in the absence of the Market manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Exposure to extreme temperatures.
Positions in this class typically require : reaching standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Moderate physical activity to include but not limited to walking, lifting, stooping, and climbing. Some heavy lifting may be required.
JOB CONDITIONS :
