Under limited direction, the Network Analyst III supervises and provides expert-level service in the implementation, upgrade, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the City’s computer networking systems solving challenging IT problems and provides support for the City’s departments.
This position will include endpoint administration. The candidate should possess a variety of technical and soft skills to effectively manage and secure an organization's endpoints. Some key skills include:
- Endpoint Management: Experience with configuring, deploying, and managing mobile devices, desktops, through Intune.
- Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues with device management, application deployment, and user access.
- Application Deployment: Experience deploying and managing apps across different platforms (iOS, Android, Windows) through Intune.
- Reporting & Analytics: Ability to use Intune's reporting and analytics tools to monitor device health, compliance status, and security posture.
Essential Functions: -- Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following representative duties, knowledge, and skills. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supervises, oversees, and provides expert-level troubleshooting skills to address problems or concerns with the City's network or network systems; supervises helpdesk ticket response, ensures efficient operations, troubleshoots problems, identifies issues, addresses concerns, and determines resolutions.
- Delivers professional, proficient, and timely IT support for certain departmental section disciplines such as, Office 365 Administration, Desktop Management, Quality Assurance, End User Incident Management, Network Support, MDM solutions, and ITSM.
- Interacts and engages with employees in various departments; defines network requirements and ensures compliance with City standards and policies; provides analytics regarding security, cost effectiveness, standardization, and general network system metrics.
- Provides administrative support and guidance in specifications of computer systems, programs, and operating systems such as, analysis, design, business process improvement, data modeling, development, planning, implementation, test script development, monitoring/controls, troubleshooting/problem solving, documentation, and service motivation.
- Provides technical leadership that fosters commitment, team spirit, pride, and trust; facilitates and fosters open communication and cooperation within the organization and with customer groups in a team environment.
- Provides daily support and assistance to the members of the IT management team; oversees the citywide computer lease program and ensures that rotations of the systems are performed on schedule and in accordance with contractual obligations; avoids and minimizes unnecessary cost overages and expenditures.
- Identifies and analyzes major problems, distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical decisions, and provides solutions to problems.
- Contributes to project plans/schedules, and coordinates requirements, tasks, work assignments, resources, and critical milestones, with a demonstrated ability to focus on priority tasks.
- Provides administrative support for all user accounts; supports testing, installation, and maintenance of server and client software applications, hardware, and networks.
- Promotes organizational change that fosters a quality of service essential to high performance.
- Contributes to a shared vision and works with others to translate vision into action and meaningful contributions that drive performance to higher levels of effectiveness and productivity.

Licenses or Certifications:
A valid State driver’s license is required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Security, or Computer Engineering AND three (3) years of experience using operating systems, computer hardware components, networking hardware, and troubleshooting technologies, to include at least one (1) year of supervisory experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.Knowledge of –- Software installation, operation, testing, and maintenance
