After School Program Counselor-Seasonal Temporary PositionWe are looking for After School Care Counselors. Monday - Friday from approximately 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm based on individual schedules, with a max of 25 hours per week. The After School Program Counselor will supervise and effectively lead a group of campers in daily program activities. After School Program Counselors will provide a safe and nurturing environment for participants and will be actively involved and have a positive attitude about all activities. Counselors handle minor misbehavior and difficulties, area clean up, and scheduled program activities. This position demands commitment to the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. It requires a consistently high energy level, bursts of creativity, a healthy dose of humor, the ability to recognize unhappiness and nurture children accordingly, and the desire to be a positive influence on the lives of children.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Creative and energetic, passion for working with children and a love for the outdoors. Ability to teach and assist in teaching skills and activities. Professional attitude matched with lots of enthusiasm.
