Under the guidance of the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Commissioner, the Project Coordinator oversees all aspects of event marketing for the Division of Public Auditorium's Sales and Marketing Office. This role includes planning, executing, and analyzing marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Marketing Analysis: Examine market trends, customer behavior, and competitors to identify successful strategies and areas for improvement. Campaign Management: {Plan and manage marketing campaigns for events, conferences, trade shows, and meetings. Content Editing: Serve as the content editor for the Division of Public Auditoriums website. Material Creation: Develop and distribute marketing materials such as social media post, blog posts, and print materials, and monitor their performance. Performance Metrics: Track, analyze, and report metric to assess the success of marketing campaigns. Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with external vendors, such as printing companies, to ensure smooth execution of tasks. Communication: Relay campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to relevant stakeholders. Data Presentation: Present marketing data to clients and management using visual aids like charts and graphs. Sales Support: Provide leadership and sales teams information about marketing campaigns to help them understand the brand's voice.
The Project Coordinator must work independently while working closely and supporting the Executive Commissioner and Manager of Marketing, maintaining effective and professional communication with all Public Auditorium leadership and teams, city departments event clients, and contractual teams.
Educational Background:
A High School Diploma or GED. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of full-time paid experience in marketing, project coordination, or a related field. Experience in campaign management, market analysis, and content editing. Experience working with external vendors and coordinating marketing materials. (Substitution: Two (2) years of relate full-time paid experience may substitute for each year of college education lacking).
Proficiency in marketing, website, social media, and project management software. Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Relevant industry memberships and certifications such as Certified Marketing Professional (CMP) or related certifications is a plus. A valid State of Ohio Driver's License is required.
