About the Role:
\The City of Coachella is seeking an experienced HR Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing city-wide human resources operations.
\Key Responsibilities:

- Assumes management responsibility for all services and activities of Human Resources operations within the city. \
- Confers with management staff on major human resources activities; provides direction and advice as needed. \
- Manages and participates in the development and implementation of Human Resources Department goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned programs. \
- Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommends improvements. \
- Trains, motivates, and evaluates personnel; provides or coordinates staff training. \
- Directs, coordinates, and reviews the work plan for assigned work activities and projects. \
- Develops the human resources annual budget and oversees expenditures. \
- Represents the City in labor negotiations and consultations. \
- Administers health, life, dental, vision, short-term disability, retirement, and post-retirement benefit plans. \
- Overses Third Party Administrator for workers' compensation benefits. \
- Attends and participates in professional group meetings. \\$]
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in personnel management, industrial relations, public administration, business administration, or related field. \
- Five years of increasingly responsible experience working in human resources management including three years of administrative and management responsibility. \
- A valid California class C driver's license and automobile insurance. \\$]

\The hourly wage range for this position is $68.89-$83.73. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
