What are the responsibilities and job description for the Police Intern position at City of Colleyville?
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Police Chief, the purpose of this position is to provide technical and/or administrative support for a variety of departmental functions including but not limited to: records management, patrol, criminal investigations, recruitment, and property and evidence. Performs additional related duties as needed.The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. - Assists and observes various functions of the police department as well as emergency communications and court processes.
- May provide research support, assemble information, compile statistics, attend meetings, and prepare reports.
- Maintains good employee relations through timely and accurate response to questions and concerns; responds to sensitive issues while maintaining complete confidentiality.
- Interacts professionally and respectfully with the public, coworkers and others in the course of daily work.
- Regular and timely attendance are required for this position.
- Must be in the process of acquiring a Bachelor’s Degree with completion of at least 90 credit hours in Criminal Justice or closely related field.
- Must pass background investigation.
- Must pass interview.
- Must possess and maintain a valid State of Texas Driver’s License.
- Must possess good moral character.
Salary : $12 - $15
