HR Internship | Human Resources
The City of Collinsville is looking to employ an enthusiastic and driven seasonal HR Intern to assist our HR department with administrative and HR-related tasks. The Human Resource Intern will work closely with the HR team to gain valuable hands-on experience in a multitude of areas within human resources. This is a February - June seasonal position working approximately 16-20 hours per week.
Responsibilities
• Creates payroll changes for employees (includes change in title, rate of pay, address, onboarding, offboarding, etc.)
• Schedule and conduct interviews for potential part-time employees.
• Conduct onboardings for part-time and seasonal employees.
• Organize and file employee and organization documents.
• Orchestrate wellness programs for all employees.
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
A combination of education and experience is equivalent to a high school diploma or GED; one to three (1-3) years of work experience within an office setting. Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in Human Resource Management or related field is preferred. Other requirements include:
• Valid driver's license.
• Must have availability to work after normal office hours on occasion (5pm CST - 7:30pm CST) to help with onboardings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay Rate
This position has an hourly rate of $16.00 per hour.
