Yard Maintenance Inspector

The seasonal position of Yard Maintenance Inspector provides technical and investigatory work in the enforcement of municipal codes including responding to complaints, conducting site visits and conducting abatements. This is a seasonal position expected to be from May through August and report 30-40 hours per week.

Representative Work Duties:

• Investigates various code and ordinance complaints related to yard maintenance; issues violation notices; determines proper procedures and methods to enforce compliance; monitor for compliance and locate and resolve cases of violation property maintenance code and other regulations; prepare correspondence, records, and reports related to evaluations and corrective actions
• Responds to public inquiries regarding applicable regulations, concerns, and questions.
• Prepares, assembles, and maintains legal and case correspondence
• Provides assistance to customers at the front counter and by all electronic or written means, including interpreting and explaining regulations and codes, and investigating resolving complaints, especially those pertaining to property and yard maintenance

Qualifications

This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.

Candidates must pass a criminal background investigation and have a valid driver's license.

Work is performed both in a standard office environment and an outdoor work environment. May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.

Rate of Pay

The hourly rate for this position begins at $19.50 per hour. This position is seasonal, there are no benefits associated with this position.
