About the Job: In this position, you will perform a variety of ground maintenance tasks at the Evergreen Cemetery.Job Type: Seasonal
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Work Location: 1005 Hancock Expressway Colorado Springs, Co 80903
This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Worker's Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees' Retirement Association).
Approximate dates of employment will be May - September. Scheduled hours will vary based on department needs. Total hours worked will not exceed 1,500 annually.
As a Cemetery Maintenance Worker, you will:
- Install and water new sod
- Sweep, rake, and maintain shrub beds
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems
- Pick up trash, and paint facilities
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as trimmers, edgers, backpack blowers, walk-behind rototillers, and seeders
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver’s license not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges
- Experience with landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance
Salary : $15
