As a Real Estate Specialist II, you will support the City of Colorado Springs by managing real estate transactions and processes that further public projects and community growth. In this journey-level role, you will utilize your expertise in real property acquisitions, easements, property disposals, and legal documentation to ensure compliance with city policies and legal standards. As a Real Estate Specialist II, You Will
- Facilitate negotiations and manage transactions for real property interests, easements, and land parcels.
- Review and prepare legal documents, including deeds, easements, and agreements, ensuring compliance with city standards.
- Conduct property research, interpret title reports, and review surveys and legal descriptions.
- Collaborate with developers, property owners, engineers, surveyors, attorneys, and internal departments to support real estate needs and resolve issues.
- Track and maintain real estate records, prepare and maintain acquisition files, and prepare files for audits.
- Prepare market analyses and value assessments for real property transactions.
Knowledge Of
Relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Real estate principles, practices, and laws governing property transactions.
- Legal documentation, including deeds, easements, surveys, and title reports.
- GIS programs and research tools for property analysis.
- Modern office technology, including Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders.
- Analyze and interpret legal documents.
- Collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve conflicts tactfully.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in real estate, business administration, finance, or related field.
- Experience: Three years of full-time professional experience in real estate services or related field.
