Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Operate buses and vans along fixed routes and schedules, ensuring passenger safety in varying weather conditions.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist patrons when necessary.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Provide advice to others outside direct reporting relationships on specific problems or general policies.
- Consider different points of view to reach agreement, utilizing elements of persuasion for cooperation.
- Interactions have a significant impact on the organization in terms of time, money, or public/employee relations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of related experience.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement and no airbrake restriction.
- Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification.
- Knowledge of assigned routes, relevant laws and regulations, defensive driving, and accident prevention.
- Skill in operating fleet vehicles and equipment, effective verbal and written communication, active listening, and problem-solving.
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure, provide high levels of effective customer service, count money, make change, prepare and write basic reports, and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
