What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Attendant forParks and Recreation Sports Facilities Spring 2025-Fall 2025 (Temporary Part-Time Position) position at City of Columbia, MO?
Facility Attendant will work under the supervision of the Facility Manager at Rainbow Softball Complex, Atkins Baseball Complex, Gans Creek Recreation Area or Columbia Sports Fieldhouse. Attendant will: be required to utilize a computer software program, Rec Trac, to sell concession items; be responsible for the preparation and serving soda, beer and food; provide correct and courteous answers to telephone and verbal inquires; be responsible for all monies collected during their shift; keep concession stand and equipment clean and free of debris; handle or make applicable referral of all complaints/problems; interpret and apply established policies; perform other duties as assigned by supervisor; and maintain an appearance or demeanor that projects a positive, professional image. Facility Attendant will, along with the Lead Attendant, be the main PR representative on site when the Recreation Superintendent and Recreation Specialists are absent.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must: be at least 16 years of age, have experience with computers; be able to count change; have or be willing to obtain a City of Columbia Food Handler Permit; excellent customer service skills; be able to work independently, attend staff meetings; follow established dress code; and be willing to work all work shifts.
