Job Description Summary
The purpose of this job is to enforce city, county, and state animal laws and ordinances, and assist citizens with animal-related needs, complaints, and questions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description
- Responds to and investigates animal control complaints including animal bites, neglect, or cruelty.
- Communicates with public regarding animal welfare and animal control laws and ordinances.
- Issues warnings, citations, and / or summons for animal-related offenses.
- Responds to calls for escaped pets to safely capture and transport to Humane Society to intake animals as necessary.
- Inputs and maintains data and case documentation.
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
