- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong ability to integrate and coordinate efforts across multiple teams and organizations.
- Experience managing projects in the following information technology areas : infrastructure, application development, cyber security, service development, or IT practice areas.
- Experience using project management tools like Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar products.
- Effective communication skills to gain consensus from your team, peers, and customers and the ability to communicate with executives. Including writing concise and effective status reports and facilitating meetings to achieve consensus or communicate goals and objectives so all stakeholders understand.
- Experience with organizational change management including the ability to solicit and understand stakeholder concerns, and the ability to develop and execute an organizational change management plan that will facilitate a successful implementation.
- Experience managing vendor contracts as part of the project, including reviewing and assessing vendor statements of work, assuring contractual requirements are met, coordinating purchase orders, invoice reviews, and vendor performance.
- Project management certifications, like PMP, are desired.
Under general direction, is responsible for researching, designing, managing, implementing Enterprise information technology projects and / or for developing departmental policies and standards; performs related duties as required

Represents the Director at public meetings, conferences, hearings and other activities that relate to information technology projects.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience managing information technology projects from design through implementation. Substitution(s) : A valid certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI) may be substituted for the required education and experience. A master's degree in computer science or closely related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required experience. Additional years of experience as listed above may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
