The City of Compton, CA is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to department directors and senior management personnel, ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare correspondence, meeting agendas, and reports, and maintain departmental records and filing systems.
- Provide highly skilled secretarial support to senior-level personnel, including answering incoming calls, responding to public inquiries, and scheduling meetings and appointments.
- Conduct special projects, including coordinating travel arrangements and maintaining local, state, and national memberships for departmental staff.
- Perform a range of general office duties, including processing mail, ordering supplies, and enforcing security and confidentiality protocols.
Requirements:
- Possession of an Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field, with three years of administrative support experience.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License.
- Knowledge of city organization, operations, policies, and procedures, as well as principles and practices of office administration.
