Description
Concord Parks and Recreation Department is looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic and energetic person to fill a new permanent part time Recreation Specialist position. This new position is responsible for the planning, organizing, and running our programs at our City Wide Community Center.
Due to programming and event supervision, hours may change on a weekly basis and may include evening and some weekend hours. Normal work week will be 25 hours a week, year-round. Work hours will typically be Monday - Friday 9 am to 3pm, however as programs and participation varies so will the hours. Some evenings and weekends.
Pay range to start: $23.90 to $27.77 depending on qualifications and experience. Top of wage scale is $32.16.
This position includes paid vacation, sick and holiday as well as short term disability, long term disability, and paid family medical leave. City employees also enjoy a member guest rate for golf at Beaver Meadow, a family pool pass and a Concord Public Library card.

Education and Experience:
Associates Degree in education, recreation or closely related field of study and at least 2 years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
