Splash Pad Attendant
Ages 15 years old and over
Come work for the City of Concord Parks and Recreation Department this summer. Splash Pad Attendants work late May to early September. Our splash pad is located at White Park in Concord. Must be able to communicate and enforce all relevant City rules and regulations and be able to print legibly. Previous experience working with the public is desired. Must have the ability to work as a team member. Applicants do not need a valid American Red First aid or CPR certifications to apply for employment however they must pass this class and present certification cards by May 24, 2025. Applicants who are hired, pass their certification classes and work 4 or more days a week until end of season will be reimbursed the cost of the class.

Hourly Wage: $15.45 - $17.50 per hour

Examples of Duties
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works under the general supervision of the Assistant Parks and Recreation Director and Pool Supervisor.
Provides exceptional customer service.
Insures pool house, deck and bathrooms are kept clean at all times.
Responsible for checking resident requirement or pool passes of persons entering the area.
Monitors the number of people in the area, and restricts patrons from entering if the maximum number has been reached.
Completes necessary paper work in a timely and accurate manner.
Administers and/or assists with first aid when necessary
Assists in the enforcement of all pool rules and regulations.
Responsible for carrying out departmental procedures related to the swimming pool operation.
WORK HOURS:
Must attend in-service training at the beginning of season and scheduled staff meetings. Hours are typically between 30 and 40 hours a week. Employee must be able to work between the hours of 9:30 am. and 7:30 p.m. Each employee is granted two days off within each seven-day period.
Typical Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age by June 1, 2025
Infant/child and adult CPR and Standard First Aid certification is required, but can be obtained prior to June 1st.
