What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Parts Supervisor position at City of Concord?
The purpose of this position is to provide general oversight of the inventory of the automotive division and schedule work for staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Procures various components for vehicles and equipment by ordering and receiving parts, researching costs and quality of replacement parts and supplies, and processing and balancing vendor invoices with statements.
- Prepares reports to maintain proper stocking levels, manages parts inventory, and performs periodic inventory count and reconciliation.
- Supervises Parts Division by organizing and planning routes and times for pick-ups, conducting performance appraisal, and supervising and assigning work to technicians.
- Assists with shop operations by processing work orders, assisting technicians with diagnosis, service procedures and related information, transporting vehicles and equipment for repairs, and creating work orders to ensure proper scheduling cycles.

High school diploma or equivalency, with at least one (1) year of relevant and supervisory experience; or the City may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
