Job Purpose :
The purpose of this position is to collect and test water samples and install, inspect, test, repair, and replace water meters and backflow devices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Tests, repairs, and replaces water meters.
- Responds to customer inquiries or complaints.
- Performs routine flushing of fire hydrants and blow offs at dead end waterlines and other problem areas.
- Completes analysis and reports and documents information from inspections, testing, and maintenance.
- Maintains, calibrates and cleans all necessary equipment for jobs.

Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalency and at least six-months to one (1) year of advanced study, with at least three (3) years of experience; or the City may consider an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
