The City of Conway is accepting resumes for a professional Programs & Marketing Manager, reporting to the Assistant Parks Director. This position is responsible for managing the scheduling and use of select park facilities, maintaining the department’s website and social media presence, and organizing youth and adult programs. The Programs & Marketing Manager also markets the department to the public through ads, flyers, videos, and signs, and manages all Civic Rec software responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (required), with at least two (2) years of experience in adult/youth program development, program administration, or a related area. One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Ability to organize and schedule both youth and adult programs.
• Ability to plan and schedule facility use for league and tournament play.
• Experience working with local colleges and high schools to coordinate practice and game schedules at select facilities.
• Strong knowledge of social media marketing to promote regular and special events for the Parks Department.
• Ability to solicit sponsorships for department programs and sports leagues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with public and civic organizations to plan and administer recreation programs and special events.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, and elected officials.
• Ability to direct and supervise employees involved in sports programs and special events.
• Willingness and availability to work nights and weekends as needed to achieve program goals.
• Ability to ensure employees meet work goals, follow city policies, and adhere to safety procedures.
