Job Summary
This role works under the general supervision of the Director and provides engineering support for the Energy Department, including Electric and Gas Divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides direction to the Engineering Division to ensure compliance with TVPPA, NESC, and ANSI codes.
- Performs and approves engineering calculations related to line design and operation.
- Develops and recommends policies related to new service and line extension.
- Coordinates work by outside engineering firms on special projects.
- Investigates customer service complaints.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Four to six years of electric distribution engineering experience.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Seven to ten years of electrical distribution engineering experience.
Working Conditions
This role primarily works in an office setting, but may occasionally be exposed to noise, dirt, and extreme weather conditions in the field.
