Golf Maintenance Positions: Job responsibilities include assisting with mowing and trimming golf course grounds, changing golf cups, moving tee markers, and assisting with sand trap maintenance. We are seeking exceptional individuals age 16 and older to join us. Great team work, and a positive work culture come join our team! Position will work between 30-40 hours per week which will include every other weekend.
Golf Pro Shop Positions: Responsibilities include assisting the public in the pro shop, maintaining order on golf course fairways and greens, checking in golfers for tee times and monitors the pace of play. If you enjoy providing outstanding customer service then we want to hear from you. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older. Previous experience in maintenance and familiarity with game of golf preferred. Shifts include 6:00 am - 2:00 pm, 11:00 am - 7:00 pm or 1:30 pm - close The ideal candidate will be able to work three shifts per week which will include some weekends.

Golf Maintenance:- Assists with mowing and trimming golf course grounds.
- Assists with changing golf cups.
- Assists with tee marker movement.
- Picks up and removes garbage from golf course grounds.
- Assists with sand trap maintenance.
- Assists with filling water coolers, as required.
- Communicates with golf course employees effectively via two-way radio.
- Regular and reliable attendance during scheduled work hours and outside regular hours as necessary.
- Provides effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and citizen customers.
- Maintains positive professional working relationships with all staff levels, other jurisdictions and outside agencies, and the general public.
- Follows oral and written instructions such as supervisor's work orders and equipment operation manuals.
- Regular and reliable attendance during scheduled work hours and outside regular hours as necessary.
- Performs essential position duties and responsibilities under the working conditions and physical demands described herein.
- Performs other related functions as apparent or delegated.
- Checks in golfers and communicates course routing and policies regarding play over PA system.
- Communicates tee time information effectively over two-way radios to other golf staff.
- Receipts pro shop financial transactions.
- Monitors pace of play, communicating with golfers to ensure schedules are maintained, spreading goodwill to golfers by working with them in a positive, professional manner.
- Disposes of garbage found on fairways and greens.
- Assists with movement of tee markers.
- Changes out water coolers, as required.
- Provides effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and citizen customers.
- Maintains positive professional working relationships with all staff levels, other jurisdictions and outside agencies, and the general public.
- Follows oral and written instructions such as supervisor’s work orders and equipment operation manuals.

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
- Thorough practical knowledge of the game of golf.
- Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment used in developing and mataining greens on a golf course.
- Ability to use riding and push mowers effectively.
- Ability to use weed trimming tools effectively.
- Ability to effectively communicate using the use two-way radio.
- Ability to work cooperatively with City personnel, external vendors, and the public.
- Ability to perform duties with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
- Ability to be detail oriented and follow through with tasks.
- Ability to maintain a team and service oriented approach to work.
- Ability to accept criticism or discipline.
- Must strive to promote a cooperative atmosphere in the department and exhibit a positive attitude.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to the following:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Understanding of the game of golf.
- Golf Maintenance applicants: Familiarity with lawn mowing and trimming equipment.
- Golf Pro Shop applicants: Understanding of currency and conducting financial transactions.

EQUIPMENT/JOB LOCATION:

The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.. This position works closely with others. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
