The Opportunity
If you're a proactive, analytical thinker with a passion for information security, we encourage you to join the City of Coppell's Enterprise Solutions Department as our Information Security Engineer ! You will support a wide breadth of information security operations projects and consult on aspects of information security across the organization.
Your responsibilities will include evaluating risks associated with new technologies, leading incident response efforts, and enhancing our security posture through the implementation of cutting-edge solutions. As a champion of Coppell's culture and core competencies, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve standard operating procedures for information and cybersecurity.
Key duties involve managing vulnerability identification, engineering solutions for various security technologies, and staying abreast of emerging trends to ensure our systems remain secure. Your expertise will be instrumental in configuring technologies and implementing secure cryptographic methodologies, particularly in cloud environments. Additionally, you'll automate security operations activities and provide on-call support during evenings, nights, and weekends.

Pay Plan
This opportunity is exempt and on Pay Grade #25. The full Pay Grade Range is shown for growth and development opportunities within the grade. Salary determination is supported by budget availability and qualifications of the candidate to maintain internal equity.
Hiring Range : Min-Mid
Min $105,473 ($50.71)
Mid $129,182 ($62.11)
Max $152,915 ($73.52)
