Job Duties and Responsibilities
Coral Gables operates under a commission/manager form of government and is well known for its active and involved citizenry. Counselors in Training (C.I.T- Volunteers) are assigned to supervise children enrolled in summer camps while at any of Parks and Recreation facilities. Volunteers assist group coordinators and counselors with supervision of children during planned activities, games, field trips, arts & crafts, special events, and field trips.
Counselors in Training are under the direct supervision of the Recreation Specialist, Program Assistants and /or the Youth Center Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum 15 years of age.
Previous experience working with children in a summer camp setting is preferred.
