INTERNAL NOTICE OF PROMOTIONAL EXAM
Fire Battalion Chief

GENERAL PURPOSE : Under general direction of the Fire Chief, manages and oversees operations and is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and supervising activities of an assigned shift of the Lake Cities Fire Department (LCFD). Manages the Department's activities and employees, including training, planning, EMS Inventory and QA / QI, and administration as assigned by the Chief of Department; assures Department's compliance with state and Federal laws and the public safety goals of the city.
The Lake Cities Fire Department will be conducting a promotional process to establish an eligibility list for the position of Battalion Chief. All qualified applicants are encouraged to participate by submitting the following documentation by 1200 hours on 21 February 2025.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTIONAL PROCESS :

Ten (10) years certified Firefighter / Paramedic, including three (3) years with LCFD at rank of Captain.
