Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the City of Corinth. As a key member of our Public Works Department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of our city's infrastructure, including streets, drainage systems, and other public facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general manual labor tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy objects, to maintain streets, drainage systems, and infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain a variety of specialized tools and equipment, including hand and power tools.
- Assist with maintenance and repairs, and report safety hazards, equipment problems, and emergency situations.
- Learn and perform a variety of work tasks and procedures, including repair and maintenance of streets, roadways, and infrastructure.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations to minimize risk of accidents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of maintenance work experience.
- Valid Texas Driver's License.
Working Conditions
This position requires moderate physical work, including lifting and carrying heavy objects, and working in a variety of weather conditions. The work environment is indoors and outdoors at work sites throughout the City.
