What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patrolman position at City of Corry?
Job Opportunity
We are seeking qualified individuals to apply for a Full-Time Patrolman and potential Part-time Patrolman position with the City of Corry Police Department.
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following general qualifications:
- Possess a diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma (GED)
- Have successfully completed Act 120 training and pass the final Municipal Officer Educations and Training Commission (MPOETC) exam
- Be a United States Citizen
- Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Hold a valid Pennsylvania Motor vehicle operator license
To apply, pick up an application packet at the City Administration Building. A completed packet with a $50 non-refundable fee is due by Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
The Civil Service Test will take place on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Corry Area High School. A physical agility test will follow immediately after the written examination.
