The City of Cottage Grove is now accepting applications for a Seasonal, Full-time Six Month Utilities Maintenance Worker to work mid-April through mid-October. 40 hours per week. The summer work schedule starts in April and is Monday-Thursday 6:30am-3:30pm and Friday 6:30am-10:30am. The summer work schedule ends in September. The non-summer schedule is Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm.
The Utilities position responsibilities include general care and maintenance of the well sites, mowing grass, weed whipping, painting fire hydrants and spraying weeds. 
  1. High school graduate or equivalent.
  2. 18 years of age.
  3. Valid driver's license.
Desired Qualifications
  1. Formal education or practical experience in mowing and/or landscaping.
  2. Ability to operate hand and power tools and riding lawn mowers.
  3. Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety practices of the trade, including trimmers and riding mowers.

Salary : $19 - $22
