What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook- Banquets position at City of Cottage Grove?
River Oaks Golf Course and Event Center is looking for Banquet Cooks in the Event Center. The position is a part-time position with year-round hours. This position would work the days of events and banquets. Must have excellent customer service and presentation of food skills. This position works directly with the Executive Chef to provide quality food for all banquets.

- Responsible for the preparation and cooking of all banquet food.
- Making sure the kitchen is cleaned and food properly stored at the end of the shift.
- Responsible for quality of food and customer service.
- Prepare all items according to the Executive Chef’s recipes and processes.
- Maintain kitchen and prep area in a sanitary and organized fashion.
- Responsible for keeping food products up to River Oaks standards.
- Accountable for all food items and stock.
- Responsible for knowledge and practice of all applicable laws concerning the service and preparation of food products, including health code and OSHA regulations.
- Accountable for food stock and cost control.
- One year of cooking experience. Experience cooking for 50 or more guests at one sitting is preferred.
- Must have a demonstrated knowledge of food and culinary practices.
- Must have ability to work well with others in a fast paced environment.
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials, employees and the public.
Salary : $20 - $22
