What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape/Horticulture Internship position at City of Cottage Grove?
The City of Cottage Grove seeks highly motivated and hardworking individuals to apply for this position. The interns will work directly with the Parks Department to manage a $30,000 operational budget of personnel, material and professional service needs.
Full-time/seasonal
Season/Schedule: 40 hours per week. Mid-May – Late August
Hours
Monday - Thursday 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
Friday 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM
Position will be open until we receive sufficient applications. Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The landscape interns plan, coordinate, monitor and maintain landscaped areas throughout the entire community. Flower beds of significant importance include 80th Street, Jamaica Avenue roundabout, park entrance points and municipal facilities (city hall, fire stations, ice arena, etc.). This program also assists in the development and implementation of sophisticated landscaping plans for items such as Public Landscape Initiative program, future construction projects and park master planning.

- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Limited to students in Landscape, Horticulture or related studies.
Salary : $19 - $22
