Description
The Recreation Seasonal Laborer will assist the Recreation Program Coordinator in planning, promoting, setting, staffing, and tearing down our legacy, series, and one-time events during our peak season. This position is rooted in working with the public, including various and diverse individuals, young children, and aging populations and connecting them to accessible and fun recreational opportunities. A typical weekly schedule would include 2-3 office days and 1 weekend or evening event depending upon the outreach. Provides additional assistance as needed.
Additional tasks will include:
Assist in meeting program goals and objectives as established by the department director.
Assist in coordinating and scheduling of recreational programming offered by the department.
Assisting with special projects in parks such as overseeing volunteer-led service days in parks.
May represent the department to outside groups and organizations, participate in outside community and professional groups and committees, from partnerships and provide technical assistance as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
