Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are intended to be illustrative only and are not inclusive: Completes daily, weekly, and monthly chemical and maintenance logs. Must be able to add chemicals as needed to maintain proper pool water balance. Assists in facility upkeep by completing tasks such as gardening, cleaning, and minor repairs as assigned. Must have knowledge of emergency procedures and safe chemical handling. Set ups for events and scheduled programs. Ability to operate small machinery. Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Knowledge of pool policies, schedules, programs, and procedures. Knowledge of Colorado Health Department regulations pertaining to aquatic facilities. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with program participants, fellow employees, and the public.
Mental Demands:
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to follow instructions. Ability to perform and complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to make independent decisions, solve problems and use good judgment. Ability to maintain composure and act responsibly in stressful situations, such as emergencies.
Experience:
One year of maintenance or janitorial experience is preferred.

Working Conditions:
Possible adverse weather conditions with prolonged exposure to the sun and pool water. Working in the vicinity of and handling hazardous chemicals. Exposure to blood and other body fluids may occur. Shifts include morning and weekend hours.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand for long periods of time, walking, bending, stooping, crawling, lifting, reaching, and climbing ladders. Ability to lift or move equipment or supplies of 50 lbs.

Pool manager, pool staff, parks and recreation staff, other city employees and the public.
Special requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License. Will be required to successfully pass a post-job offer drug screening and background check.
