What are the responsibilities and job description for the Police Dispatcher position at City of Cripple Creek?
Job Duties Include: processing emergent/non-emergent calls for Police, Fire and EMS. Must be able to: monitor and answer multi-channel radios and monitor additional frequencies for adjacent jurisdictions; maintain accurate and current awareness of the status and location of all personnel and equipment; operate computer terminals to enter, query, modify and/or delete data from NCIC/CCIC and CAD systems; maintain confidentiality; monitor building surveillance equipment. Must also be able to perform well in high stress situations, work within a team environment, assist with various clerical duties and assist the public. Shift work required for 24/7 emergency operations.
Requirements Include: experience preferred. Must be 18 years or older, have a valid Colorado Driver's License; pass a background check, polygraph, psychological test, drug test, audiogram, computer skills test and other job specific testing. An acceptable motor vehicle record from any state in which a license has been held within the previous three years must be provided. High school diploma or GED required.
