What are the responsibilities and job description for the Police Officer Recruit position at City of Cripple Creek?
Police Recruits will be sponsored by the City of Cripple Creek while attending the law enforcement academy, including academy tuition and an hourly pay rate of $22.34/hour. Recruits must successfully complete the Academy and be Colorado POST certified prior to starting in the department's Field Training and Evaluation Program (FTEP) Program. Your hourly rate when you start the FTEP program will be the current starting rate for Police Officer, which is currently $27.15 per hour.
Minimum requirements: 21 years of age or older, high school diploma or equivalent (GED), valid Colorado driver's license or obtain one within 30 days
Hiring process includes: oral board interview, scenario based exam, Chief's interview, background investigation, psychological testing, polygraph examination, medical physical, pre-employment drug screen and motor vehicle record review.
