What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parking Enforcement Officer position at City of Cumberland MD?
The City of Cumberland will be accepting applications for the position of Parking Enforcement Officer. This is a part-time position, with a work schedule of twenty-nine (29) hours per week. The compensation for this position is $15.50 per hour. The position has no benefits, and the selected individual will be expected to sign an employment agreement.
Responsibilities and duties will include but are not limited to
Enforcing City of Cumberland parking laws, ordinances, codes, and regulations; interacts with the public in regard to enforcement issues and general information matters; perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants are required to possess a high school diploma, or GED. Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of local parking laws and ordinances, and the ability to navigate the City of Cumberland efficiently. Applicants must maintain a valid driver's license and pass a civilian police employee background check.
Applications may be obtained from the Personnel Office at City Hall on the second floor, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. They may also be found on the City of Cumberland website at www.ci.cumberland.md.us. Completed applications are to be returned to the Human Resource Office prior to 3:00 p.m. on 3/18/2025. A physical Examination will be required prior to employment.
