Farm Park for the 2025 operating season (late April through September).
Definition:
The City of Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department is hiring a Park Manager for the 2025
operating season (late April through September). Park Managers assist the Recreation Coordinator
with the day-to-day supervision of the Customer Service Attendants and the picnic/cafe facilities.
The position requires familiarity with Blackberry Farm cash handling procedures, efficiently in
ActiveNet, knowledge of proper food handling practices, exceptional customer service, and the
ability to lead a team.
Class Characteristics
Park Manager is a seasonal part-time, temporary, non-benefited, and at-will position from April
2025 through September 2025. It is also limited to no more than 995 hours per fiscal year.
Applicants must possess all relevant certifications before the first day of employment.

- Park Managers are responsible for daily tasks such as taking picnic site reservations,
maintaining a clean and safe facility
- Plans and leads in-service training as well as bi-weekly meetings/trainings

- Manages all birthday party and catering packages
- Helps with the execution of a variety of special events
- Sets a good example by presenting a professional appearance and attitude at all times
- Maintains a high level of customer service
Qualifications

Ability to:
- Understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Must be responsible, alert, courteous, and punctual
- Manage time effectively, show initiative, and work independently
- Work and communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and patrons in a team setting
- Available to work weekends and evenings
- Provide own transportation to and from work
- Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds
Education and Experience
- Must have at least three seasons (or 500 hours) of recent paid customer service/food service experience, and two years (60 semester units) of college coursework
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
Licenses and Certificates
- Must possess ServSafe® Food Handler course certification prior to the first day of employment
- Must possess current Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification prior to the first day of employment.
